"A large part of who we are today is because of what we have learned from the past." Part of that past is F. Spaulding Dunbar, naval architect. He worked and lived on the site where Pease Boatworks & Marine Railway is situated in Chatham, MA and his work will be on view at Seamen's Church Institute through December 2016, and is otherwise in the Hart Collection at MIT.

Spaulding most assuredly got his love of wooden boats growing up in Mansfield on Rumford Ave...where his family property backed up to Fultons Pond where he paddled his row boat at an early age.
